This weekend (October 29–30) will be all about contemporary dance. In the last two days of the festival you’d be able to see three shows:

The beginning of our last Dance Weekend starts at 4:00 PM on Saturday with JINX103 – a dance performance for a public space, in which József Trefeli and Gábor Varga explore the rhythms and rituals of life in a high energy and create an energetic and captivating performance. Join us in Kapana Creative District exactly where Hristo Dyukmedzhiev St and Zlatarska St cross.

The evening will continue at 7:30 PM at the Plovdiv Drama Theatre with the amazing dancers from Lа Veronal who will come to Bulgaria with the choreographer Marcos Moreo just a few days after the world premiere of their newest piece KOVA ¬ GEOGRAPHIC TOOLS.

The performance of La Veronal  is happening with the support of Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Bulgaria, Instituto Cervantes Sofia and The National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM).

On the next day at 6:00 PM at the Boris Hristov House of Culture UP will close the ninth edition of the international festival of contemporary dance and performance ONE DANCE WEEK. The show will uplift the audience into the enigmatic state which will inspire immediate enthusiasm, representing the theme of elevating the spirit.

After each show a glass of tasty and aromatic raspberry wine will await the guests. The drinks come from the winery of Trastena Wines!

The performance of JINX103 and UP is part of “Dance connected – establishing capacity for strengthening and diversifying the Bulgarian contemporary dance scene” is а project by One Foundation for Culture and Art that was approved for funding by the Bulgarian-Swiss Cooperation Programme, under the Block Grant Scheme of the Partnership Fund – “Partnership and Expert Fund” (TF PF).
